The latest output of the CEFG Group - the
CEFG Group City Portraits - has just been published. These portraits provide background information about the environment in which the cities' finances and financial management are embedded. Thus, they complement the financial information of the standardised financial reports.

Academic article using CEFG Group findings published
Some CEFG Group findings were used for the academic article "The role of a municipality's financial health in a firm's siting decision" by E. Padovani, David W. Young and Eric Scorsone, which was published in the last edition of the journal Business Horizons. The paper argues that companies should pay more attention to the financial health of the municipality where their activities will take place. Read more

The CEFG Group was presented at two EIPA Summer Schools on "Governance in a Multilevel Europe: Empowering the Local Level" (15-19 June 2015) and on "EU Economic Integration and Local & Regional Development" (29 June-3 July 2015), held in Barcelona respectively by Gracia Vara Arribas and Alexander Heichlinger.

On Thursday 26 June, an agreement regarding the creation of the European City Economic and Financial Governance (CEFG) Group was signed between the City Council of Barcelona and the European Institute of Public Administration (EIPA) in Maastricht (the Netherlands).
